Reaching for the Stars
For our Evening of Excellence this year we had a 1940's Radio Talk show "Reaching for the Stars". The leaders did a program while everyone had a Thanksgiving feast. Amber, the one on the left below, was a theatre major who still has contacts with community and school theatre programs in the area so she was able to get costumes for all the girls. They had a blast choosing what they were going wear throughout the week. It was like dress-up as a child all over again! The girls have such supportive parents some of which dressed up for the night themselves. It was a success! And soooo much fun!

Another great thing about it for me was pulling out some treasured possessions of my Grandmothers. The clutch & the clip on earrings were my grandma Wunnenbergs the hair pin belonged to my Grandma Wells. It was fun hearing about everyone's authentic pieces and who they belonged to throughout the night!

It looks like to so much fun to dress up! You do so many fun activities with the girls. I miss those kinds of things. But they will remember it always. :)
