St Patty's Day Catch Up

We had a wonderful Playgroup activity. Complete with split pea shamrocks and a treasure hunt for a Leprechaun's pot of gold (cookies) that they got to frost & decorate.

Later that night I had Young Women combined with Young Men. It was the annual Bishopric "War Ball" activity. Before we got started Bishop went over the rules and asked "What do the balls represent?" The kids all shouted "Fiery darts of the adversary!" "What are the tables and chairs?" "Our protection against the darts!" "Such as what?" "Church, scriptures, seminary, good friends!" Exactly.
Nathan had to bring me some papers I had left at home and when the boys came into the gym & saw what was going on Payton jumped right in! Grabbing as many balls as he could manage & throwing them across the gym. Gage wanted to play...really bad... but it was too noisy for him so he came & sat on my lap and covered his ears. Once the youth started dishing up ice-cream Gage hopped right in and he & Payton started throwing the balls at Daddy. They were having a great time...until Dad accidentally pelted Gage in the face. That game ended real quick! Me & Gage got some ice-cream to make it all better.
