The last few days have been a dream weather wise. Monday before Nate had to start his week on we packed a picnic to take to the park. The boys had a great time playing in the shade and there was just enough of a breeze that even in the sun it was perfect. We kicked around the soccer ball and took turns letting the boys bat. We're a little nervous about Gage starting team sports because if he doesn't pick something up right away he has a tendency to get discouraged. Our goal this summer is to expose him to enough sports with just us as a family having fun that he'll enjoy starting league ball next year.
He sure loved swinging the bat, and picked it up very quickly. The only tears came from Payton when we wouldn't let him pitch EVERY time.
As we sat on the blanket we also made a list of things we would like to do this year... a few of them include:
Take the boys to Antelope Island
Go to the Dino park in Ogden
Camping trip in our tent
Castle Valley Pageant
Salt Lake Real soccer game
Red Butte Gardens
Rodeo or Demo Derby
Bird observatory in Bountiful
Surf & Swim pool
There are a few more on our list we'll see how much we get done this summer!
