Was the ARUP Family Skate Night at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake. Jeff & Heather took baby girl for us so that we could take the boys skating. They did WONDERFUL. Gage had only been on skates once before last February and Payton had just slid around in his snow boots then. It took him some getting use to... but did a great job for his first time. Once Gage warmed up to the ice he was unstoppable! It was a wonderful night and we had a great time.
We pretty much just held all of Payton's weight at first but by the end of the night he was insisting on doing it himself... then he let the wall hold all his weight.
They had hot chocolate and Einstein Bros Bagels to snack on and fire-pits around the ice to warm up. Midway through the skate they asked everyone to clear the rink and we got to watch the Zamboni re-surface the ice. I think that may have been the boys favorite part.
