Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we hosted Thanksgiving at our house with the Sanderson Family. It was so nice to have space for everyone to cook, play, and relax! Nathan had to work Thanksgiving morning this year so we passed the time baking, creating this gingerbread house, and enjoying one an other's company. Each person wrote down three things they were thankful for... then during dinner we passed the jar around and took turns reading who was thankful for what...

The best one was "My soon to be addition to our family!" Heather read it and everyone just froze... looking around to see who was making the big announcement :) Beth & Brian are the lucky couple that will be adding to their family in the coming year! After we read them out loud we clipped them to the fall garland. It was such a fun tradition that can be carried on. I like that we can keep them from year to year and look back on the things we were most thankful for. My list included: Living in such a wonderful place surrounded by such great people... That Nathan had a stable job that he LOVES... For my beautiful children that bring so much joy to my life.

Emily & Kaitlyn taking care of some left overs!

To get rid of some of those calories Chris brought his Wii and Dance Central games. If you've never played this game you NEED to! It was HILARIOUS and INCREDIBLY FUN!! And to be perfectly hones a little embarrassing :) We all had a blast. Gage, my little dancer refused to do it until everyone left the room (he has more self awareness than any child should) once he started he couldn't stop. Video of this to come for sure... again embarrassing video but I have to share!!
  Turkey makes us sleepy...

I don't know why... but I like taking photos of my seasonal decorations. It makes me smile :)
